This is a post with a product from
the new Annual Catalogue. Excited? I am! This was one of the cards that we made at the Shoe Box swap class that I have mentioned before. This card was designed by Jane Bisby.
The colour combo for this card is Rich Razzleberry, Regal Rose, Crumb Cake with Very Vanilla. The stamp set is from the new Annual Catalogue and is called Kindness Matters. The butterflies were stamped three times and coloured with the marker pens. The middle butterfly on the bottom row has another one stamped and cut out and placed on top to add a bit of dimension. The Crumb Cake card stock was embossed using the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The Regal Rose card stock was punched with the Scallop Trim border punch, and a piece of Scallop Dots Ribbon in Old Olive was tied around the centre of the layers in the middle.
The inside of the card was decorated too, I really like this idea and it adds an extra level of detail and makes it a little more special.

June Card Class - Baby Card
Morning,
Once again I have to apologies for my lack of posting. My broadband is still a bit hit and miss, and after two long calls to call centres (where I couldn't understand a word of what was being said to me!), it somehow fixed itself. I don't hold out much hope for it to be fixed permanently, keep fingers crossed please.
Here's one of the cards that I made with my class on Tuesday. All the cards I made were using sets from the Summer Mini Catalogue. This one uses the Baby Prints stamp set, with Marina Mist and Blushing Bride inks / card. The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder was used to emboss the Whisper White card, using the Big Shot, and the sentiment was punched using the Square Punch and the Scallop Square Punch for the border. Finally, white Bakers Twine was tied around the card to add an extra element of detail.

Stamp-a-stack 1 - Wedding Card
Here's the first of my last set of Stamp-a-stack cards. This one uses the Love and Laughter set from the Summer Mini Catalogue, and has the colour combo of Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. The Very Vanilla has been embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, and the cake image has been stamped with Crumb Cake ink. A couple of flowers were punched using the Itty Bitty Shapes punch, and finished with pearls in the middle. I made two of these cards, one for an engagement, and one for a wedding, which I have sent to a friend of mine who got married last week. I hope she liked it.

Beautiful Bows Card 1
Hope you're having a nice Bank Holiday Monday.
Paper / Card Stock - Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Last weekend I attended a Beautiful Bows class run by my upline, Julie Kettlewell. This was a great class, as we learn five different bow techniques, something that I've always been a bit nervous of! Mine never look quite like they are meant to, so it was good to be shown the tricks of the trade. I just hope I can remember them when I come to try them again.
All the cards that I will be sharing with you over the next five days use the Everything Eleanor stamp set, which is really versatile. The colour combination of Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla was used. All of the stamped images fitted onto one A4 sheet of Very Vanilla card stock, so it was an economical use of card. The sentiment on this card is from Sincere Salutations, and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder has been used on the Very Vanilla background.
The bow on this card was made with a fork! Yes, a fork. All the ladies at the class were a bit confused when we sat down at Julie's dining table, we thought maybe she was serving us lunch! It makes such a cute bow, and I can't wait to try this with different sized forks to see what effect it has.
Stamp Sets - Sincere Salutations, Everything Eleanor
Embellishments - Satin Ribbon
Tools - Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

Stamp a stack - Beautiful Butterflies card
Morning all, hope you are doing well. Over the next 6 blog posts, I'll be sharing with you the cards that I made at the recent stamp-a-stack card class run by Julie Kettlewell. Even though I'm a demonstrator myself, I still enjoy attending classes myself, as there's always new tips and techniques to learn, and I love it when I learn something that I can pass on here, or at my classes. The social side of it is great too, lots of new like minded people to meet, and who understand the desire to own everything in the catalogue!
The first card I'm sharing is made with a few of the Big Shot dies, Top Note and Beautiful Butterflies. It was a quick and simple card to make, but looks really fancy. The colours Wisteria Wonder and Island Indigo were used, with Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. The stamp set used on the Top Note area is from the Spring Mini catalogue, called You Are Loved. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations, a set I seem to be using more and more these days, and has been stamped onto a label stamped with the Four Frames set, punched with the Decorative Label Punch.

Cupcakes Set
These are a few cards that I made when I first got the Create a Cupcake stamp set and the Cupcake Builder Punch. I used the colour combos of Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla cards stock, based on the Beau Chateau papers.
The first card used the Square Lattice embossing folder to emboss Soft Suede card stock. The Scallop Edge Border Punch was used on the Marina Mist card stock to create a border on the Very Vanilla card stock strip.
The second card has Marina Mist card stock embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, with the Beau Chateau paper.
The third card has Soft Suede embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, and a piece of Pink Pirouette with the edge punched with the Scallop edge Border Punch to make it look like a cake stand. The three cupcake tops have Dazzling Diamonds glitter to give them a bit of sparkle.
The fourth card has Pink Pirouette card stock embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, and I've used the Petite Pennants punch to cut out a cone stamped with the Pennant Parade stamp set. The cupcake tops have been placed to look like ice creams. The Modern Label punch was used to cut out the Happy Birthday sentiment.
Don't forget, these products are only available until the end of April, as they are from the Spring Mini Catalogue. These have been popular products, but there's no guarantee that they will be rolled over into the 2012-13 Catalogue, so don't wait too long if you've had your eye on it!
Paper / Card Stock - Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Beau Chateau DSP

Fancy Folds Card 2
This is another one of my fancy folds cards, also called a tri-fold card. It was made with Soft Suede card stock, and the Beau Chateau Papers. The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder was used to Emboss the Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette panels. The Four Frames stamp set was used with the Modern Label Punch, with the sentiment from For My Family. Unfortunately, now I've uploaded these photos onto here, the colours look a bit washed out, it must have been bad light when I took them. The card is much brighter!
Papers / Cardstock - Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Beau Chateau

Happy Birthday Owl
Here's a card I made a while ago at one of Julie Kettlewell's team training sessions. It's a very quick an easy card, there's not much stamping to be done, and just assembling the owl takes a little time. We cut out a Top Note die shape in Crumb Cake, then embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The leaves are from the Little leaves die, and the owl was punched with the Owl Builder Punch. The sentiment is from Curly Cute.
Card / Papers - Regal Rose, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Springtime
Vintage DSP (retired)
Stamp Sets - Curly Cute
Embellishments - N/A
Tools - Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Top Note Die, Little Leaves die,
Owl Builder Punch
Inks / Markers - Early Espresso
At the training session, we also made this little gift bag, using the Scallop Envelope die. I love making things from items that are different to the obvious way to use them. The papers are from the retired Springtime Vintage DSP. The handle was created by punching out a shape with the Word Window Punch, clever eh!

Embellishments - Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon

Creative Elements card
Here's the fifth card from the Stamp-a-stack class. We used the Creative Elements stamp set for this card, with a lovely colour combination of Crumb Cake, Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. We used the En Français to do the background and then stamped the flower in Perfect Plum. The sentiment is from For My Family. There was a bit of cutting out to do around the butterfly, which had Rhinestone Jewels added to give an extra bit of bling. The Very Vanilla card stock was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

Yet another cupcake card
Here's the fourth card created with the Create a Cupcake set. I love the bold design and colours of this card, and again, cleverly uses the Cupcake builder punch for another purpose - handbags! The glimmer paper from the Spring Mini Catalogue has been used for that extra bling effect.
Card / Papers - Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Glimmer Paper
Stamp Set - Create a Cupcake
Embellishments - Rhinestone Jewels
Tools - Cupcake builder punch, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Decorative Label Punch,
1/2" (1.3cm) Circle Punch, 3/4" (1.9cm) Circle Punch, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

Christmas Owl Cards
Hello,
What a lovely evening I had on Wednesday demonstrating at a Stampin' Up! workshop at my friend Ama's house. There were three ladies who are already customers, and two who had not been to one of my workshops before, but have heard me on numerous occasions raving about the products at craft club and had seen my creations at the Craft Garden for Light Night. One of the best bits of being a demonstrator is being able to share my excitement and enthusiasm about all of the products, and seeing other people excited too is amazing (and slightly reassuring it's not just me that wants everything in the catalogue!) Ama made us all tasty cupcakes and chocolate cake so we were all stuffed by the end of the evening. I meant to take a picture of them to share, but we started eating them too quickly!
Here's a picture of me in action!
As a thank you to Ama for inviting us all over for an evening of crafty fun, I thought I'd try out my new Mini Milk Carton die, which I bought with some birthday money. Seeing as Ama would be having all the fun, I decided to make a present for her little doggie Ozzie. I covered the Crumb Cake milk carton with a strip of Designer Paper, and then stamped a dog from the All My Family stamp set (which was sneakily bought from my Stampin' Up! mummy Gemma by my friends as another birthday gift!) onto Crumb Cake and punched it out using the large Oval punch. I filled the carton with doggie treats, and then used a clip from the Clips Assortment set and finished it off with a bit of Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon. As you can see on this picture, Ozzie sniffed out that there was a present for him in the box, and he nearly gave the game away as I wanted to wait until everyone was there before giving the gift to the Ama.
Here's the mini milk carton - isn't it cute!
Below are some of the cards we made for the Make and Take, the guests loved it and had a great time making it. I was really pleased with their cards as they moved things around so they were different to mine. I'll certainly be using their designs for this card again. The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, with Crumb Cake cut with the Top Note die. This was then stamped with Chocolate Chip ink using the Woodgrain background stamp. I was so pleased when this came into the new catalogue, it's perfect for using with the Owl punch and so much more. The border is Cherry Cobbler from the Regals Collection Designer Paper Stack, with a strip of Old Olive punched with the Scallop Border punch. The owl itself was punched using Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and Crumb Cake, with a leaf cut from Old Olive using the Bird Builder Punch. The sentiment is from Contempo Christmas stamp set, in Chocolate Chip ink. The belt of the owl is Basic Black 1/8" (3.2mm) Taffeta Ribbon, finished with a Rhinestone Jewel.
Here's a few other Christmas Owl cards I made, when I was deciding what to do for the Make and Take project. The first is a simpler version of the one above, with Old Olive cardstock. The second one uses the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder instead of the wood stamp, and has been inked using the sponge daubers on the raised areas. Curly Cute has been used on these cards for the sentiment.
If you'd like to make any of these items, and would like to host your own Stampin' Up! workshop from the comfort of your own home, please contact me.
