Crafternoon Tea Class - Mixed Bunch & Everyday Enchantment

The second card we made at the Crafternoon Tea class, was using the Mixed Bunch stamp set with the Blossom punch, and the Everyday Enchantment papers that were brought back in July due to popular demand! The papers were originally available during Sale-a-Bration earlier this year.

The colour combo for this card is Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade, with Very Vanilla. The circle type images were stamped as a background into the Very Vanilla card, with a strip of the Everyday Enchantment DSP placed towards the bottom. Two flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral, and punched with the matching Blossom punch, with a Lucky Limeade In Colour designer printed brad through the middle. The I'm here for you sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Beautiful Bows Card 4

Hello there!

Have you missed me? I hope you've even noticed I've not blogged for over a week now, I hope you were all checking every day for a new post from me! I'm back anyway, I've had a hectic week or two, and have not kept up with these posts.  This has been the busiest crafty week or two I've had for a long time, lots of preparation to do.  I had a card class on Wednesday in Bradford, and on Saturday I am attending an all day training session, with 30 swaps to make.  I've another class on Tuesday in Leeds, and then tomorrow evening I'm going to a Stamp-a-stack class!  Busy busy busy.  I'm looking forward to it all though, and can't wait to share everything with you.

Here's the fourth card I made a few weeks ago at the Beautiful Bows class.  This was the first bow we were shown how to make, and it was a very simple one to do, once we got the hang of where our fingers and thumbs were meant to be.  I've tied bows like this before, but getting shown how to do it that little bit better made all the difference.  The Everything Eleanor stamp set was used again, with the now retired Sale-a-bration papers Everyday Enchantment.  Missing those already.  However, it's not long until the release of the new Summer Mini Catalogue, so there'll be plenty of new products for us to swoon over!

Beautiful Bows Card 2

Well it's all back to normal now after the long weekend, shame the weather wasn't like it was last weekend, but at least I wasn't tempted to sit outside, and instead I got some planning and organising done for my next two card classes.  I also realised at the weekend that as well as having two card classes in a week, I have an all day team training event with swaps to make, and another stamp-a-stack class to attend.  I'll be crafted out by the end of all of that! I'll have plenty of blog material to share with you at least, if I ever catch up with it all.

Here's the second card from the Beautiful Bows class.  This one features a double looped bow, and was the most scary looking one out of all the bows we made, I was sure I wasn't going to be able to make this one.  Luckily, it wasn't as hard as it looked, and ended up looking pretty good.

Stamp a stack - Everybunny card

Morning all,

The Easter weekend is here at last, a few days away from work to relax, just what we all need I'm sure!  I hope you've all got lovely things planned for the weekend.

Today I'd like to share another card that was made at last weeks Stamp-a-stack session.  The paper Everyday Enchantment is from the recent Sale-a-bration promotion, and unfortunately is no longer available.  The Stamp Set is called Everybunny, and is such a cute set.  It is an Easter stamp set, but it does contain some stamps that could be used the rest of the year too.  The decorative label punch was used to punch around the bunny, and to make the border with the Calypso Coral card stock.  The Boho Blossoms punch was used to make the flowers with the Pool Party card stock.  The bunny was coloured in using the blender pen and the marker pens, I do like a bit of colouring in on a card!

I hope you all get a visit from the Easter bunny, enjoy the chocolate!

Good Chemistry

This is a card that my sister asked me to make for her friend, they are both chemistry PhD students, so she asked for something related to chemistry.  I had recently found a template on Pinterest that I thought would be perfect.  I used the Sale-a-bration papers Everyday Enchantment for the liquid in the flask, and used the sponge daubers with crumb cake ink around the edge of the flask and the card.  The Curly Cute Stamp Set was used for the Happy Birthday sentiment.  I hope they were both pleased with the card.

I added numbers to the neck of the flask, using Pool Party cardstock.

For the inside of the card, I decorated Very Vanilla cardstock with stamps from Party This Way in Crumb cake ink.

On the back of the card, I added a stamp from the Creatively Yours set.

Final Stamp-a-stack card

Phew! I've got to the end of the six cards that I made at the Stamp-a-stack card class. This one uses the Sale-a-bration papers Everyday Enchantment, with the colour combo of Poppy Parade and Pool Party. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border was used for the border around the sentiment, and the flower cut from the Blossoms Party die from the Berry Blossoms product suite in the Spring Mini Catalogue. It was finished off with a Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, and a Red Rhinestone Brad. The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set.

I hope you've enjoyed these six cards from the Stamp-a-stack class.  If you'd like to learn how to make any of them, please contact me to book your workshop or class.

Coasters

I know I get excited quite a lot of the time about crafting and the things I am making, but sometimes I make something that is particularly exciting.  This post is about one of these occasions!  I've made coasters, and I'm really pleased with how they have turned out.  I bought a pack of blank coasters from my local craft shop, and decided to use the Sale-a-bration papers Everyday Enchantment to cover them. I cut the papers to just bigger than the coaster, and then used the sanding blocks to shape the paper to fit exactly.  I then covered the paper with sticky back plastic, and again, sanded it to give a clean finish.  I think they look quite professional, and I can't wait to try it again with different papers.  I held a workshop recently, and they looked great on the table amongst our make and take projects and catalogues.

Here they are all spread out.

A close up view, you can see the shiny surface on this one.

Had to try them out with a cuppa!

After all that crafting, I deserved a nice glass of wine.

Don't forget, time is running out to get your hands on these lovely papers, I've nearly used all mine already! They're only available until the end of March, so place your orders now.

Celebrate Sale-a-bration

Afternoon all,

I hope you are all well this lovely sunny spring afternoon.  I've just found the first daffodil in my garden, so that's pleased me.  I've got a Stampin' Up! workshop this evening, I'm really looking forward to it.  Hopefully, everything is packed ready to go, and so far, I've not forgotten anything.  I've got a few crafty things I've been working on that I'll be putting out on display this evening, I can't wait to show you on here what they are.

On Tuesday, I attended a team training event run by Julie Kettlewell and other members of her team.  There were a few new faces around the table, so it was nice to meet them, as well as hear stories of how well other demonstrators are doing.  It's great to know how they run their workshops and classes, and knowing that they love Stampin' Up! as much as I do is a relief that I'm not the only one obsessed!
As well as the business training side of the get together, we also get hands on and do a bit of crafting.  As we've still got a month of Sale-a-bration left, we used the Outlined Occasions stamp set.  Julie loves the bunting cards as much as I do, so we made another bunting themed card.  We focused on the 2011-2013 In Colours, and just used the markers for these two cards.

We made a fancier version of the card, using the Everyday Enchantment papers, and added extra bling with the Rhinestone Jewels and ribbon.

I love these cards.  It's amazing the difference a few extra products can make to a card, to add that extra wow factor.  If you fancy having a go at making these cards, you can get your hands on all the products you need for just £46.25 for the first card.  That includes a pack of the In Colour card, the In Colour markers, a pack of Whisper White card stock, The Itty Bitty punches, a Basic Gray ink pad, and you'd get the Outlined Occasions stamp set for free.  For the second card, for another £45.20, you'd receive the Word Window punch, the Large Oval Punch, a pack of the ruffled ribbon, a pack of Rhinestone jewels and the linen thread, and you'd also get the Everyday Enchantment papers for free.  If you are interested in making these cards, please let me know.  If you've already got some of the items, you can always swap and change to another product.

We also made a gift bag at the training session.  It's a style I've never seen before, and I was impressed at how simple it was to make.

Don't forget, these papers and stamps are only available until the end of March, so get in touch if you'd like to get your hands on them.

Everyday Enchantment Papers

In an earlier post, I mentioned the great products that are available during Sale-a-bration. These cards and bags were made during the All Day Training event I attended recently. The two cards show examples of what could be made for a Workshop make and take project, and they use the colour combination of Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Crumb Cake.  The second card uses the gorgeous papers Everyday Enchantment, and both use the Elementary Elegance Stamp Set, both of which are available for free with every £45 order.

This was my favourite part of the training.  Julie shared with us a template to make a cute handbag gift bag, it was so quick and easy to make.  You can't quite see it from the pictures, but where the flower is at the top of the bag, is a velcro sticky dot, which can open and close, just like a real bag.  If you'd like to have a demonstration on how to make this, please contact me, I'd love to show you.
