Stamp-a-stack cards - Retired products

Hello,

I was going to stretch this post out into three posts, but changed my mind, as I have so many things to post at the moment, so I'll do three cards in this one.  The last Stamp-a-stack class I attended was just before the end of the Spring Mini Catalogue, so three of the cards featured products that were due to retire shortly.  They are no longer available, but luckily we've now got the Summer Mini Catalogue to get excited about.

The first card features the papers Berry Blossoms.  These were nice bold papers, and I like the layout and design of this card.  Various strips of paper were cut into strips, and cut into the flag shapes.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute, and the ribbon is the Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon. Flowers were stamped onto the Wisteria Wonder card stock from the Fruit & Flowers stamp set, also from the Spring Mini Catalogue.

I'll be using this layout again, it could be done with any of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Paper Series.

Papers / Card Stock - Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Berry Blossoms
Stamp Sets - Curly Cute
Embellishments - Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon
Tools - Paper Cutter
Inks / Markers - Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder

The second card uses papers from Spice Cake, with the colour combo of Crumb Cake, More Mustard and Pool Party.  The Postage Stamp punch was used to cut out the squares of papers, and the new Simpy Scored tool was used to made the Flower which is made from two pieces cut with the Large Scallop Circle Punch. The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes, one of the hostess sets.

Papers / Card Stock - Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Spice Cake Designer Series Paper
Stamp Set - Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess set)
Embellishments - Scallop Dots Ribbon, Antique Brad
Tools - Simply Scored, Large Scallop Circle Punch
Inks / Markers - Early Espresso

The third card features the stamp set Borderlines.  I must admit to having this set, and not using it very much! I must use it to make a few cards to sell, to get value from it.  Soft Suede and Pool Party inks were used, and the Owl punch was made to use the owl, with Spice Cake papers being used for his chest.  The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes.  Linen thread was tied around the end of the card for an extra feature.

Papers / Card Stock - Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Spice Cake
Stamp Sets - Borderlines, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Embellishments - Linen Thread
Tools - Stamp-a-ma-jig, Owl Punch

Fox & Friends Stamp-a-stack card

Here's the second of the cards from the last Stamp-a-stack class.  It uses the Fox & Friends stamp set, a great  set for children's cards. The card used was Tempting Turquoise and Real Red with Whisper White, and a strip of Old Olive.  The Ink used were Tempting Turquoise for the whales, Early Espresso for the monkeys, Old Olive for the turtles and Daffodil Delight for the giraffes.  The Crimper was used to make the crimped effect on the strip of Old Olive, a simple way of adding a little more detail to your cards and projects. The Happy Birthday Wishes greeting is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

Papers / Card Stock - Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Stamp Sets - Fox & Friends, Petite Pairs

Beautiful Bows Card 5

Morning,

At last, here's the fifth and final card from the Beautiful Bows class.  A nice simple card, with a really easy bow.  There was no tying involved for this bow, simply a bit of folding of the ribbon, and a carefully placed Antique Brad to hold it in place.  Clever eh? The Large Scallop Circle was used to punch out one of the stamps from the Everything Eleanor set, don't forget this punch is only available until the end of this month, with the end of the Spring Mini Catalogue.  The swirly stamp was stamped in Lucky Limeade onto Crumb Cake card stock and then embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder in the Big Shot.  It's always a good idea to do your stamping first, else it can be difficult to stamp after the card has been embossed.

I hope you've enjoyed these Beautiful Bows cards, and if you'd like to learn any of the techniques, I'd be happy to demonstrate them.  Contact me to book a workshop, or enquire about attending a class.

Stamp a stack - Cupcakes Card

Here's the final card from the Stamp-a-stack session.  It uses two of my favourite items at the moment, the Cupcake punch and the Create a Cupcake Stamp Set.  These are only available until the end of April, I'll miss them a lot.  For this card, Pool Party, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose card stock were used.  I learnt  a new technique with this card, called Inlaid Embossing.  Various sizes of circles were punched and then glued to the Whisper White card stock, then the whole thing was run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The Large Scallop Circle Punch, another product that will not be available after the end of the month, was used to mount the cupcake.  To finish it off, the Satin Ribbon was attached, and the Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped and punched with the Large Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch.  I'll be making this card again soon!

Aviary card

Last night I attended another one of Julie Kettlewell's stamp-a-stack card classes, we made twelve cards in three hours, two each of six designs. I'll be posting these over the next week or so.
The first I'd like to share uses the Aviary stamp set, one that I own, and can't wait to try this design again. The colour combo on this card was Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade with Crumb Cake. The Scallop Edge Border Punch was used, and the large Scallop Punch was used for around the owl and cage. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs, which is a nice set, it comes with sentiments for the outside and inside of your cards. To finish off the card, Old Olive Taffeta ribbon was used to make a bow for the top of the cage, and for the top left corner with a Rich Razzleberry button.
