Hi,
Here's the second card that I made at the Spring card class a few weeks ago. For the background, we used Whisper White and Basic Black card stock, and embossed Daffodil Delight using the Honeycomb embossing folder with the Big Shot. The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases, and was stamped onto Whisper White with Stazon ink, as we were advised at the class that its less likely to bleed in the way that the Basic Black inkpad can sometimes do on the white card. The bees are from the Spring Sampler stamp set, these were also stamped with Stazon ink, and were coloured with the markers. Dazzling Diamonds was placed on the wings to give a little sparkle. They were punched out using the 1" Circle punch, and one was mounted onto a background punched with the Scallop Circle punch.

Buns and Roses Workshop - Owl card
Last month I mentioned that I'd run a workshop for the Leeds WI, Buns and Roses. You can read all about the evening here, written by Gemma Rathbone. I had a great evening, and I think all the ladies that came along enjoyed it too. It was the first time I'd ever run an event with so many people, there were 26 on the evening, and it was great experience. It was originally meant to be run by myself and Kylie, but she'd got her dates mixed up, and was actually in Germany that evening attending the Stampin' Up! Convention. She shared with the preparation and designs of the projects, and she kindly lent me lots of her projects for the display tables. You can see these on the three photos below, and there's more on the Buns and Roses blog mentioned above (thanks to Gemma for letting me post the pictures she took on the night)
I'll be sharing the four projects we made over the next few days. Here's the first, which uses the Owl Punch, which has been cleverly turned into a penguin! Bashful Blue and Whisper White card was used, with Tangerine Tango and Basic Black for the penguin. The snowflake stamp is from Snowflake Soiree, and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs. It's hard to see from these pictures, but on the edge of the snow slopes, the glue pen was applied, and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter was applied for the bling effect!

Christmas Card Class - Frosty Friends
Hello,
Here's another card from the card class I attended at the weekend. I think this card is my favourite from the four that we made. The stamp is called Frosty Friends, it's a stamp that comes on its own and costs just £10.95. We all had a great time using the markers to colour in the snowmen. The glue pen was used along the bottom of the snowmen, and then Dazzling Diamonds was applied to give a lovely glittery effect. The card blank is Pool Party, with Cherry Cobbler. A piece of the Bakers Twine was tied around the card, for a bit of added detail.

Regional Training - Swaps
Today, I'm attending a Stampin' Up! regional training day in Leeds. I've never been to one of these events before, so I'm really looking forward to it. There was a number of things we had to make to bring with us, and I'll be sharing these over the next few days.
As with many of the training days, we had to bring along swaps. It's a great way to meet and chat with other demonstrators, and share ideas and techniques. For today, I made 50 swaps, this is the most I've ever made before. I didn't start off too well, when I went to Kylie's (my downline) last week, I realised I'd left all my card stock at home. It turned out ok though, and after some discussions over what I could do without it, we came up with making these pillow boxes, using the Pillow Box die with the Big Shot. I used the Twitterpated and the Beau Chateau papers, and the Apothecary Art stamp set, with the new Labels Collection Framelits dies. To finish them off, I added the Stampin' Glitter Dazzling Diamonds and some Linen Thread tied around the box. It was obvious I'd been using the glitter, it was everywhere, all over my face, jumper, and all over Kylie's house! In the photos below, not all of the boxes have Linen Thread tied around them, I ran out and had to order some more at the last minute. Lesson learnt, make sure I check my supplies first!
For the Twitterpated papers, the colours used for the Apothecary Art label were Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride and Baja Breeze.
For the Beau Chateau papers, I used Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Pink Pirouette for the labels.
Papers / Card Stock - Twitterpated, Beau Chateau, Whisper White, Very Vanilla
Stamp Set - Apothecary Art
Embellishments - Dazzling Diamonds, Linen Thread
Tools - Big Shot, Pillow Box Die, Labels Collection Framelits Die, Paper Piercing Tool
Inks / Markers - Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist

Cheers to You
Evening!
Thought I'd share with you a card I made this evening. Unfortunately, the stamp set Cheers To You and the papers Elegant Soirée are retired, but I'd been asked to make a card by a colleague for his brother, and this set seemed perfect. In the inside, I've put a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock, as the Soft Suede can be dark to write on.
I hope he's pleased with it.
